Dr. Maria Suurna, who serves as Regional Advisor for Europe for the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery (AAOHNS), helped organize a joint meeting of the American Academy of Oto-HNS and the German ENT Society (Deutsche Gesellschaft fur HNO), in Berlin, Germany from May 29-June 1, 2019.
There were several joint American-German panels and presentations, and the joint portions of the meeting were well-received by both groups.
At the Gala Dinner, the President of the German Society, Dr. Steven Davert honored the leadership group from the American Academy from the stage.
