Surgical Treatment Options

When surgery is necessary, we work closely with pediatric anesthesiologists and hospitalist pediatricians to provide the safest care possible for your child. Weill Cornell Medicine pediatric surgeons were among the first to implement intracapsular tonsillectomy, a surgical technique that greatly decreases postoperative pain and bleeding, allowing children to return to their regular diet and activities much more quickly and significantly decreasing academic absence due to surgery.
